Great idea to ask about holidays! Thanks!!!

Thanks and good luck, Gina. I want to join a gym and that's something we can do together, He can also learn to swim or take karate or whatever if he wants to. Keeping him busy won't be a problem at all. I also like to hike and fish. I'm also learning to hunt and boat. I think he is already quite active physically but being single and working there are always things that need to be done around the house and in the yard. I love to plant things and watch them grow.

I look at housekeeping as his preparation for independent living too. A glance around my house and you'd think I have more to learn than to teach right now though but I'm not terribly uptight. Fortunately it's getting cold and I'll have a lot more time inside to get agitated with the clutter. Besides that I'm trying to get into the mindset that someone else is going to need some space before long so I've got to get old clothes and useless junk out of the way.

I'm glad to hear that your 16 year old is thriving. I suspect my 18 year old will too if it happens. He will have a lot of catching up to do and that will keep us busy. I hope he learns to love to travel and appreciate unfamiliar surroundings and people like I do. I'm constantly dreaming of where I want to go next. I like to go places without doing a whole lot of planning ahead of time. He seemed confident and talkative when I met him at the picnic so I bet he'll do just fine.
