Our son has been using Concerta for about two years now. We've seen his levels steadily increase up to 72mg each morning. For the last two months, I've noticed a tic that he'd never had before. This is like a very sharp and fast nodding, once and now, this week, even accompanied by clicking the teeth when he does it.

When I told his dr. this today, before I even said that I was suspicious that the meds could be the source, immediately he said we needed to back off of the dosage. He...

Posting this question for a friend:

Does anybody else prefer the regular dose of Adderall over the extended release version? The extended release version seems to take longer to kick in, and despite the instructions that say to take only one per day, it lasts only about 10 or 11 hours, which is not long enough to make it through a whole day since he is awake for 16 hours. So that leaves 5 or 6 hourse in the mornings or the evenings. The regular pills seem to work for 8 to 9 hours each,...

Of course, a week can't make RAD go away (our son is 4 from Russia), but it gave us tremendous insight and really set us on a new path.
